Shri Sidhi Vinayagar Devasthanam, also known as Coventry Pillayar Kovil, is a registered charity Hindu temple located in the heart of Coventry at 65A George Eliot Road. Founded in 2009 with the formation of its first executive committee, the temple purchased its current premises and has grown to become an important spiritual center for the Hindu community in the Midlands. The temple held its grand Maha Kumbhabhishekam consecration ceremony in July 2012, marking a significant milestone in establishing traditional worship practices in accordance with Hindu customs. The temple is dedicated primarily to Lord Ganesha and offers daily worship services with darshan timings from 9 am to 2 pm in the morning and 5 pm to 9 pm in the evening. Regular aarti ceremonies are conducted at 12 pm and 7 pm daily. The temple provides various religious services including daily Archanai in all shrines, Abishekam ceremonies, and priest booking services for home visits to perform Homam, Satyanarayan Puja, and other traditional Hindu rituals. The temple architecture and ambience reflect traditional Indian temple styles, creating an authentic spiritual atmosphere for devotees. Shri Sidhi Vinayagar Devasthanam serves as a vital cultural and religious hub for Coventry's Hindu community, hosting major festivals including Vijayadasami, Aavani Chadurthi, and annual Mahotsavam celebrations.
