Telugu Velugu Germany (TVG) e.V.

Telugu Velugu Germany (TVG) e.V. was founded by the late Sri Sai Reddy Dasari and officially registered on May 29, 2006, as the first Telugu association in Germany. For over two decades, this pioneering non-profit organisation has served as a cultural beacon for people of Telugu origin residing across Germany, forging a legacy of togetherness, brotherhood, and cultural preservation. Rooted in the rich heritage of Andhra Pradesh — whose Telugu language was famously described by C.P. Brown as the "Italian of the East" — TVG has built a vibrant community that honours Dravidian traditions while embracing life in Germany. TVG offers a comprehensive range of cultural programmes and community services designed to strengthen bonds across generations and backgrounds. The association organises traditional festival celebrations including Ugadi, cultural performances, potluck gatherings, and family-friendly events that bring together Telugu-speaking families from across Germany. Through language programmes, educational initiatives, and social networking opportunities, TVG facilitates meaningful connections among Indian expat families while welcoming members from all communities, cultures, and backgrounds without discrimination based on ethnicity, religion, or political affiliation. For the Telugu and broader South Asian community in Germany, TVG represents far more than a cultural organisation — it is a sanctuary of belonging and a home away from the motherland. The association's mission to integrate, strengthen bonds, and forge new friendships has created a supportive network where Indian expat families can retain their cultural roots while building fulfilling lives in Germany. Located in Frankfurt and serving members nationwide, TVG continues the vision of its founder by making the German experience content and blissful for thousands of Telugu families, offering a place where traditions thrive, friendships flourish, and the spirit of community endures across borders.
