About
Simhachalam Temple, officially known as ISKCON Jandelsbrunn e.V., was established in 1982 as a traditional Krishna temple and farm community in Southeast Germany. Nestled in the scenic Nature Park of the Bavarian Forest near the Czech and Austrian borders, the temple is dedicated to Lord Sri Sri Prahlad Laxmi Narasimha and spans 17 hectares of temple buildings, pastures, fields, and forest land.
The temple offers a comprehensive spiritual experience including daily deity worship, traditional Vaisnava festivals with Narasimha Caturdasi being the largest celebration, guest house accommodations for spiritual seekers, and educational programs through ISKCON Bhagavata College. The community practices biodynamic agriculture and maintains a goshala with cows and oxen, embodying sustainable farming principles alongside spiritual practices.
