Maharashtra Mandal France (MMF)

Maharashtra Mandal France was established by passionate members of the Marathi-speaking Indian diaspora in Paris to preserve and celebrate the rich cultural heritage of Maharashtra while fostering a sense of belonging among Indian expats living in France. Born from the collective desire to maintain linguistic traditions, celebrate regional festivals, and create a supportive network far from home, the organization has become a cornerstone institution for Maharashtrians and the broader Indian community seeking cultural connection in the French capital. The Mandal organizes a diverse array of cultural programmes and community activities throughout the year, including traditional Marathi festival celebrations, language classes for children and adults, classical and folk music and dance performances, literary gatherings, and social events that bring families together. The organization also facilitates cultural exchange initiatives that introduce French audiences to Marathi arts, cuisine, and traditions, while providing Indian expat families with opportunities to participate in authentic cultural experiences that keep their heritage alive across generations. For Maharashtrian families and Indian expats in Paris, Maharashtra Mandal France serves as a vital cultural anchor and home away from home. The organization creates a welcoming space where the Marathi language flourishes, where children learn about their ancestral roots, and where families forge lasting friendships with others who share their cultural background. Through its dedication to preserving traditions while embracing the multicultural fabric of Paris, the Mandal strengthens community bonds and ensures that the spirit of Maharashtra continues to thrive in the heart of France.
