About
ISKCON Scarborough is an official center of the International Society for Krishna Consciousness located in Scarborough, Ontario. The temple serves as a spiritual home for devotees and visitors, housing the divine deities of Sri Sri Radha Gopi Vallabha, Sri Jagannatha Baladeva Subhadra Devi, Sri Sri Gaur Nitai, Sri Sri Laxmi Narasimha, and Srila Prabhupada. Founded under the guidance of His Divine Grace AC Bhaktivedanta Swami Prabhupada, the center has become an integral part of the expanding ISKCON presence across Ontario, contributing to the regional growth that began with the first temple in Toronto. The temple offers a comprehensive range of spiritual services and cultural programs designed to educate and engage the community. Regular worship services, kirtan sessions, and festivals provide opportunities for spiritual practice and celebration. The center hosts cooking demonstrations that showcase plant-based vegetarian cuisine, educational programs on Vedic philosophy, and special events including the popular Festival of India with its Artisan Bazaar featuring vendors and goods from around the world. These activities create an interactive and informative experience surrounding ancient Indian spiritual culture. ISKCON Scarborough serves as a vital community hub for Indian expats and spiritual seekers throughout the Greater Toronto Area. The temple is currently engaged in an ambitious project to construct a magnificent new temple building to better serve its growing congregation. Through its various programs and services, the center provides a welcoming space where people can explore Krishna consciousness, connect with their cultural heritage, and find spiritual nourishment in a supportive community environment.
