About
Shree Jalaram Mandir Greenford, also known as RAMA (Raghuvanshi Mahajan London), began its journey in 2000 as a unique temple and community centre dedicated to serving both the spiritual and practical needs of the local community. Located at 39-45 Oldfield Lane South in Greenford, Middlesex, the temple is registered as a charity and has grown into a vital hub for worship, community activities, and social services that support the wider neighbourhood. The Mandir offers daily aarti at 10:30am and 7:30pm, with special prayers on Thursdays dedicated to Jalaram Bapa and Saturday recitations of 21 Hanuman Chalisa starting at 11:00am. The temple provides comprehensive religious services including poojas, havans, kathas, and wedding ceremonies with in-house mandap facilities and catering packages. Two resident priests, Shastri Shri Piyushbhai Mehta and Shastri Shri Palkeshkumar Trivedi, are available for private religious ceremonies. The temple is also registered for civil marriages, making it a complete venue for Hindu wedding celebrations. Since 2010, the temple's kitchens have operated daily, serving free Sadavrat Prasad meals to over 2,500 people weekly, embodying the 200-year-old legacy of Saint Jalaram Bapa's ever-full granary from Virpur, Gujarat. The Mandir feeds homeless individuals in Central London three times weekly, supports local charities including St. Luke's Hospice and British Heart Foundation, and has won the Heart Hero Award for its social cooking programme. The temple also extends its charitable work internationally, funding cataract surgeries and supporting school feeding programmes in India while partnering with organizations like the Felix Project and QPR to combat food poverty locally.
